COMING UP: GALICIA

Pepp!! Nu blir det sömn här: so long och god natt babes. ♡

Translation: I think I mentioned a little bit about some upcoming traveling in June a few days ago, but however – it’s now decided that Tim and I are going to Galicia, Spain in a couple of weeks!! I’ve heard so much good about that place, for example someone said “untouched paradise” and spontaneously I feel like I can live with that, haha. Have you been there? The team from Surfakademin (Surf Academy in Swedish) got Galicia as one of their destinations for summer so we found the perfect timing for a whole week of surfing and hangout. It was quite a while ago now, latest in Biarritz last summer, so I wonder if I even got the basics still in me. To be continued on that haha…Tim is really good though so I have a coach there too. Excited!! Now: time for sleep, so long and good night babes. ♡

And hey! Since I love the people at Surfakademin, the whole vibe and what they stand for I just have to tell you guys that they have a campaign right now: Book your surf trip to Galicia for summer (week 26 or 27) and your friend can go along with you for half-price!! I promise you won’t regret it. To book your trip, email: [email protected]

  • Hi Lisa!!!

Galicia is amazing, for me is one of the prettiest and wild parts of Spain! I was born in La Coruña, but living in the south (Málaga/Marbella).
Patin beach is well know for its surf!

Definitively you have to try “pulpo a feira” accompanied by a Estrella Galicia beer and “tetilla” cheese. If you have the time, go to spend a day to La Toja Island, try their soaps and go to a thermal Spa there.
And finally, the best plan ever, visit MARTIN CODAX winery, see how they do the Albariño and every week they do a sunset day while you listen to live music during sunset + tasting different kinds of Alabariño!!!

Any question, feel free to let me know 😉

  • Hi Lisa,

I don’t use to comment but I follow you from some time ago, but this time I have to write, I’m galician and I can’t usually read about people travelling to Galicia, people use to go to the south looking for sun and beaches, but we have ones of the best beaches in the world and sometimes the weather is warm, hahaha! Maybe in June you’ll have good luck and the sun is shinning.
I recommended to you, as other girls hire have done, that try the pulpo a feira is offer all over Galicia but the best is in Carballiño, on the south, and the empanada, is quite tasty. Don’t forget to visit The Cíes, beautiful islands and one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, seriously. And the Cathedrals beach, in north of Lugo, amaizing. An of course, with independence of your religion, visit Santiago de Compostela, the cathedral and the old town is part of the human heritage.

I supose that you have your own plans but I feel really proud of my country so I enjoy when someone comes to visit.

    So, have fun! :-))

  • Hi Lisa! I’ve been reading you for years, but maybe this is the first time I’m writing. You touched me when I read this post. I’m from Asturias, Spain and it is near Galicia. People always think that Spain is like Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia… I mean Sun and sea. But wa also got little treasures like Asturias and Galicia. I hope you enjoy your time there and don’t miss the chance to visit Asturias ( My “Natural Paradise”). You won’t regret it. Love you.
